Unfortunately, building surfboards creates a lot of waste. Over the years I really wanted to find a way to reduce the waste when building boards. One of the ways I have begun to do is up-cycling my left over epoxy resin. After I finish glassing a surfboard there is excess epoxy resin. Instead of putting in the trash I take that resin and pouring it into molds and creating unique and absolutely one of a kind cups, bowls, planters, candle holders... whatever you want them to be! It has been so much fun to take something that would have ended up in a landfill and making it into something you can cherish and use for years to come.
