How much do custom surfboards cost?

What are surfboards made of?

Most modern surfboards are made from a foam core covered with fiberglass and resin for strength and durability. Some boards also use epoxy materials or carbon reinforcement to improve performance and reduce weight.
Why do surfers wax their boards?

Surf wax creates traction between your feet and the board, preventing slipping while paddling or riding waves. Without wax, the smooth fiberglass surface would be too slippery to maintain control.
