The Hajimari 7’4” is a versatile performance mid length designed to handle a wide range of surf conditions while remaining incredibly user friendly. Built for glide, speed, and control, this board combines easy paddling with responsive turning.

Inspired by the original board that started the Hajimari design back in the 90s, this updated version has been refined into a highly functional mid range surfboard that performs across a wide variety of waves.

Design and Performance

The Hajimari blends accessibility with modern performance in a balanced mid length design.

Key design features include:

  • Fuller front outline for easy paddling and wave catching
  • Pulled in squash tail for control and responsiveness
  • Wide point placed ahead of center for stability
  • Medium entry rocker with moderate exit rocker
  • Medium rails for balanced performance and ease of use

This combination creates a board that paddles easily, catches waves early, and still responds well when turning.

Bottom Contours

The Hajimari features a unique bottom design that promotes speed and smooth rail transitions.

  • Wide chine entry
  • Single concave through the front section
  • Deeper concave through the center
  • Blending into spiral vee through the tail

This contour combination helps the board generate speed while remaining smooth and stable through turns.
