The Malibu is one of the most classic and stable surfboard designs ever created. Built for easy paddling, smooth trimming, and consistent wave catching, this board is a perfect blend of stability and progression.

My version of the Malibu keeps the timeless design while allowing surfers to develop turning and trimming skills as their surfing improves.

Design and Performance

The Malibu features a full nose and forgiving outline designed to maximize wave count and stability.

Key design elements include:

  • Full nose for easy paddling and wave entry
  • Wide point forward of center for balance
  • Full rails for stability
  • Medium entry rocker with slightly increased exit rocker

This combination allows the board to glide effortlessly while still providing enough responsiveness for trimming and turning.

Bottom Contours

Rolled entry transitioning into slight single concave or flat through the middle, finishing with light vee in the back half of the board.

This design keeps the ride smooth and predictable across a wide range of conditions.
