The REDFIVE.
My refined performance shortboard. Design originally in 2021 and updated for 2023. This performance shortboard takes the DNA from my original performance shortboard model and cranks up the volume. Trustworthy and stable in very wide range of conditions. The REDFIVE has mellow(er) rocker through the middle but is flipped at the ends with a nice sweet spot and wide point close to center. The rails are medium/forgiving and can be dialed in to your personal preference.
The REDFIVE bottom contours are a fairly deep single concave starting early and running through the middle of the board into double concave between the fins and flattens at the tail with some late flip in the rocker. Size range from 5’ (Groms) all the way up to 7’ (Big Boys). There is a noticeable hip in the outline to break the curve at the fins. Ride this board at your height or your standard performance shortboard range.
I build the REDFIVE in all different construction with epoxy resin- PU or EPS blanks with or without stringers.
